Mother who drowned baby remanded in LASUTH for psychiatric evaluation

A 22-year-old nursing mother, Olufunmilola Adisa, suspected of killing baby, has been remanded at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) for psychiatric evaluation.

An Igbosere Magistrates’ Court in Lagos gave the order on Wednesday

Adisa is believed by the police to have drowned her 21 months old child in a bucket of water.

She is receiving free legal representation from the Office of the Public Defender (OPD).

The evaluation would enable medical authorities to determine the state of her mental health
