Mother of one-day-old baby criticized for piercing daughter’s ears (Photos)

An Australian new mother has come under heavy criticism after she pierced her newborn daughter’s ears a day after delivery.

The early mother who took to Tiktok, under her daughter’s name, Lara, shared a lovely video of her baby daughter, comparing her just hours after her birth to three months later.

Her video didn’t give the reactions she was expecting as many criticized her after noticing a tiny flower earring visible in the footage from her first day on Earth.

Many parents likewise, stated that she should have waited until the child is old enough to make the decision for herself, while some defended the mother’s decision, stating that it is a common practice in some cultures to pierce a girl’s ears early in life.
