Mother and her young child burnt to death in a house fire in Kano

Maryam Nura, 35, and her three-year-old son were killed in a fire that demolished their home in the Gandun Albasa-Bala Burodo line neighborhood of Kano municipality.
The event was confirmed by the Kano State Fire Service in a statement issued by its Public Relations Officer, Saminu Abdullahi, on Friday, June 3rd in Kano. The event occurred on Thursday, June 2nd, according to Abdullahi.
We received a distress call at about 2:07 a.m. from one Ibrahim Ashiru and immediately sent our rescue team to the scene at about 2:11 a.m. The building, a five-room bungalow of about 75ft by 75ft in dimension, was completely razed down by the inferno.”he said
According to Abdullahi, the victims were hauled out unconscious and handed over to Inspector Shehu Lawan of Kwali Police Station, who transported them to the Murtala Muhammad Specialist Hospital, where they were confirmed dead.
