Former Minister of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs, Kabiru Turaki, has been freed by the Federal High Court, Abuja.

Justice Inyang Ekwo, discharged him on Monday, March 28.

Ruling in favor of the defendant, he said, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) could not proof Turaki and his co-defendants guilty of any of the 16-count charge or the misappropriation of N715 million.

After cross-examining Turaki, Inyang established that the ex-minister was not a signatory to the account of the ministry and never authorized any payment or transfer of funds.
