In a video gathering a series of reactions, a Nigerian lady was seen calling upon the God of Moses for a miraculous act.

The lady said to be an evangelist called on God to replicate what he did for the Israelites and part the flood which has taken over communities in Bayelsa state.

She was captured inside the flood crying to God for the water to disappear so that the dry land could appear.

She hit the water with all seriousness and a neighbor who saw what she was doing decided to record her.

A caption was made saying:

Nigeria problem plenty, who be this na?”

Meanwhile, the Governor of the State affected, Bayelsa State, Route Diri expressed his grief towards the loss of properties no thanks to the flood.

In a statement released by the Bayelsa ministry of information, Duoye Diri spoke on Thursday, during an on-the-spot assessment about how several communities were displaced by the flood across the State.

He called on the assistance of the Federal Government to help with resources, noting that his house also was affected by the flood.

The governor made stops at Tungbo, Sagbama, and Adagbabiri communities in Sagbama LGA to commiserate with persons whose houses and farmlands have been destroyed by the flood.

He also visited Odi and Kaiama communities in the Kolokuma/Opokuma LGA.

He pleaded with the FG to assist with resources to help alleviate the plight of victims.

Describing the flooding situation as “dire”, Diri said there is a need for the federal government to construct a dam around the River Niger.

I came out in order to comfort the people so that they will know that their government stands with them in their time of trouble,” he said.

Water has no respect for anybody as my house is also flooded in my community. So, everybody should be strong and careful during this period, particularly women. Your children should not go into the water.

“It is a very tempting period, but I know God will see us through.

“I have approved N450 million to provide succour for the people, which is the first tranche. Having seen things for myself, we will approve more money so our people can have something to eat while they go through this experience.”

He also gace cash gifts to the affected communities and promised that relief materials would be made available to them through the task force on flooding.
