The untimely demise of artist Mohbad has sparked a wave of accusations and controversy in the Nigerian music industry.
A lot of Nigerians have taken to social media to express their suspicions, with some pointing fingers at Naira Marley and his crew, alleging their involvement in Mohbad’s death.
However, the sister of Naira Marley of the Marlian band wagon, Shubomi has hit out at those pointing accusing fingers at Naira Marley as having a part to play in Mohbad’s death.
Shubomi, joined the conversation on Twitter, where she shared her belief that Mohbad’s death may not have been a straightforward matter. She criticized those who have accused her brother of being responsible for Mohbad’s tragic fate.
In her tweet, she expressed her understanding of the challenges Mohbad faced, both in his professional life, involving disputes with her brother and the Marlian record label, and in his personal life.
Shubomi recounted a distressing incident when Mohbad had contemplated suicide, emphasizing that it was his girlfriend who had intervened and saved him from that dire situation.
Shubomi’s tweet read,
“Mohbad was having a lot going on with him, even aside from the issues he had with Marley & Marlian record Label. I remember when he almost committed suicide, thanks to his gf who intervened. But calling or pointing fingers at Marley is uncalled for; you all should know where to draw the line.”
