MOBO Awards 2021: Wizkid wins two, becomes the only African artiste with most wins

Nigerian superstar Wizkid has become the most awarded MOBO awards winning African artiste, after wining two awards last night.

MOBO awards 2021 went down live at CBS Arena on YouTube at 8 pm December 2021 and saw different music artistes performed at the show.

However, Wizkid didn’t perform but won ‘Best Africa Act’ and ‘Best International act’. The award organizers have congratulated Wizkid for winning two awards at the show in one night. These two new awards make it a total of 5 for Wizkid at the MOBO Awards.

They wrote, “TWO awards in one night for @wizkidayo!

Congratulations for winning the award for BEST INTERNATIONAL ACT #MOBOAwards“.

The category for Best African act includes Burna Boy, Davido, CKay, Tiwa Savage, Rema, Tems, NSG, King Promise, and Ayra Starr, while the category for Best International act includes Kanye West, Drake, Megan Thee Stallion, Lil Nas X, Doja Cat, Polo G, Rema, Skillibeng, and Young Stoner Life (Young Thug & Gunna).

The MOBO Awards (Music of Black Origin, also known as the MOBOs) are an annual British music award presentation honouring achievements in “music of black origin”, including hip hop, grime, R&B, soul, reggae, jazz, gospel, and African music.
