Mide Martins pens hearfelt tribute to late mother, Funmi Martins
Nollywood actress Mide Martins has penned down a touching tribute to her late mother and veteran actress Funmi Martins on her 20th-year remembrance.
Taking to her Instagram page, Mide Martin’s shared a video that consists of photo slides of Funmi Martins and how her family marked her 20th-year remembrance.
In her tribute, actress, Mide prayed that her mother’s soul rests in peace, as her mother’s death still feels like it was yesterday.
While eulogizing her mother, Mide Martins added that her good deed would never be forgotten.
She wrote: “20 YEARS REMEMBRANCE!!! 20 YEARS LIKE YESTERDAY, IN THE LOVING MEMORY OF LATE FUNMI MARTINS. MAY YOUR BEAUTIFUL SOUL CONTINUE TO REST IN PEACE”.

Late Fumi Martins is a household name that can never be forgotten in the Yoruba genre of Nollywood as many often credited Mide’s achievement to her mother’s effort in bringing her to the spotlight.
TopNaija understands that 38-year-old Funmi Martin’s died on May 6, 2002, at the Oshuntuyi Medical Hospital in Lagos.
According to the medical reports, her untimely death was caused by cardiac arrest, which happened because of her rheumatic heart disease.
