Messi Was Who We Wanted Not Ronaldo—Al Nassr

With the confirmation of Cristiano Ronaldo signing by Al Nassr, the world was faced with a shocker that star footballer, Ronaldo had taken a step away from European club football actions in favor of life in Saudi Arabia, but with the latest reports, it turns out Al Nassr were even more ambitious considering interest towards bringing in Lionel Messi to the club.

The manager of Al Nassr, Rudi Garcia, has jokingly expressed a desire to sign Paris Saint-Germain star Lionel Messi ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo.

Garcia made this comment in response to Cristiano Ronaldo’s signing with Al-Nassr.

Following his unexpected departure from Manchester United, Ronaldo moved to Al Nassr last Friday in a remarkable $200 million transaction.

The greatest signing ever made by Al-Nassr will be welcomed soon in a massive event arranged by the Portuguese captain’s supporters.

Garcia has jokingly stated that he wanted to start Messi, Argentina’s World Cup champion captain, ahead of Ronaldo.

Prior to Ronaldo’s unveiling at Mrsool Park, Garcoa spoke to the media and stated:

“First, I wanted to bring Messi from Doha.”
