Alhaji Musiliu Akinsanya aka MC Oluomo has been sacked as the Lagos State National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) chairman.

MC Oluomo was earlier suspended indefinitely over allegations of insubordination and misconduct bordering on inciting members of the union against the national body.

In a statement released and signed today the union’s National President, Alhaji Tajudeen Baruwa, and General Secretary, Alhaji Kabiru Ado Ya’u, ‘Dissolution of Lagos State Administrative Council.’, the National Administrative Council said the decision was based on the provisions of the union’s constitution.

According to a member of the Union, “MC Oluomo has been sacked as Lagos chairman. We had a meeting last night. We have replaced him. His earlier withdrawal from the union holds no ground. That’s unacceptable to us.”

Seyi Bankole has now been announced as the new head of the union in Lagos state.
