Mbappe Versus Bellingham Coming Up?

Jude Bellingham is every bit of the star that he has been hyped about judging by his performances in midfield at the world cup, and with England set to face off against nemesis, France, fans can’t help but wonder what the prospects of Bellingham facing off against Kylian Mbappe could bring.

The 19-year-old midfielder was instrumental in helping Gareth Southgate’s team break through and get to the World Cup quarterfinals.

To lead a team into the World Cup quarterfinals, a certain type of adolescent is required. One was Kylian Mbappe, another is Jude Bellingham.

The 19-year-old midfielder led England to a 3-0 victory over Senegal on a chilly Sunday night at the Al-Bayt Stadium to advance to the round of 16 in Qatar 2022.

The Three Lions struggled in the first half, enjoying lots of possession but accomplishing little with the ball despite the easy triumph in the end.

Senegal, on the other hand, looked dangerous on the break, raising the chance of another World Cup surprise.

Bellingham then took control, though. Just before halftime, the Borussia Dortmund starlet created two outstanding chances that led to goals for Jordan Henderson and Harry Kane.

Kane’s first goal in Qatar came via Phil Foden’s final pass, and the Manchester City winger added another goal in the second half when Bukayo Saka buried his low left-wing cross.

Jordan Henderson on the other hand isn’t talked about enough for the England side.

The majority of people were horrified when he was selected to play against Wales in the last group game because they thought the Liverpool captain represented Gareth Southgate’s purportedly overly cautious tactical approach.

Jordan Henderson, however, made a strong effect right away, giving Jude Bellingham more freedom to do what he does best simply by being there. Henderson is frequently the loudest player on the field, at least when wearing an England jersey, despite the fact that he is rarely the most gifted player.

The pivotal moment yet again was when England was having trouble, Jude Bellingham was the one to step up like he did against Iran, setting up Henderson for the opening goal before marking a ferocious burst from the back that resulted in Foden throwing in Kane for the goal.

“I don’t think we could have predicted how quickly he’d mature,” Southgate said of the star.

“He’s gone to another level in the last three months.”
