Mass wedding for 80 couples holds in Nasarawa | PHOTOS

On Saturday, not less than eighty couples were joined in holy matrimony at a mass wedding organised by St. Sylvester Catholic Church, New Nyanya, Karu LGA of Nasarawa state.

A statement released by Ewache John Ajefu, public relations officer of the church, noted that the couples were given the sacrament of matrimony by Mathew Ishaya Audu, a reverend and Catholic Bishop of Lafia Diocese.

Ajefu said the ceremony was unique and historic in the annals of St. Sylvester Catholic Church history.

The marriage ceremony and sacrament of confirmation were put together by Lawrence Soja Anyembugu, a reverend father and parish priest of St. Sylvester Catholic Church.

The Bishop advised the couples to imbibe the love of Christ in order to have a sustainable marriage life, noting that marriage without love is meaningless.

New Nyanya is among the towns that make up the Karu Urban Area, a conurbation of towns stretching into the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
