Martinez’s arrival doesn’t bother me one bit--Lindelof

If there is a man who isn’t bothered by the prospect of his place in the Man United squad being taken from him, it’s Victor Lindelof.

Ideally, the signing of a new player into a team could seem threatening for a player who plays a similar role in same team but the United defender is the least worried, specifically when it has to do with the arrival of Lisandro Martinez.

Lisandro Martinez like Tyrell Malacia who the Old Trafford side signed recently from Ajax is also on the watch list over a move to Manchester.

This comes after the Red devils hijacked a potential transfer to Arsenal to become clear favorites in the deal.

Manchester United coach, Erik Ten Hag seeks reinforcements for the defense and is looking for players who can fit into his system and play pattern.

Ajax on the other hand have rejected two bids from the Old Trafford side for the Argentine as they hold out for a fee of £51m.

Lisandro Martinez is believed to favor a move to Manchester over Arsenal and is now reportedly ready to force through the move this week.

The eye for United could be due to a chance to reunite with former manager again at the Premier League side.

Victor Lindelof who already knows there will be competition for places should the move for the player come to fruition, the player believes in his worth and is confident to keep his place in the starting XI next season.

“I’m not a nervous person, I’m quite calm.” He says.

“I know what I can do on the pitch, I’ve been working very hard and that’s all I can focus on really,

“I’m always confident. At every club like this, there should be competition for places, that’s a very good thing,” he told reporters while preparing for the pre-season games in Thailand.
