Maradona’s death was ‘premeditated’ — Daughters raise claim
Diego Maradona’s daughters believe their father was murdered, contradicting the claims made to the media in the aftermath of his death in 2020.
The daughters of the late football icon Diego Maradona have come forward, marking 1,000 days since his passing, to demand justice and voice their belief that their father’s death was not a natural occurrence, but rather a premeditated act.
Maradona, celebrated worldwide as one of the greatest football players in history, passed away on November 25, 2020, at the age of 60.
Maradona’s daughters, Giannina and Dalma Maradona, have publicly expressed their conviction that their father’s demise was not a result of natural causes.
The sisters have spoken out against the alleged negligence and mistreatment that they claim contributed to his untimely death.
In a heartfelt Instagram post, Dalma Maradona stated,
“My dad didn’t want to die… You did that you and your band. And they are going to pay one by one.”
The legal proceedings surrounding Maradona’s death gained significant attention when it was announced in April that eight individuals would stand trial for alleged simple homicide with eventual intent.
The defendants include notable medical professionals who were involved in Maradona’s care during his final days.
Among them are neurosurgeon Leopoldo Luque, psychiatrist Agustina Cosachov, psychologist Carlos Diaz, and medical personnel responsible for his home care.
Giannina Maradona emphasized her commitment to pursuing justice for her father.
She asserted,
“Time does not cure, time accommodates some feelings but pain is non-transferable.”
Giannina and Dalma remain resolute in their pursuit of truth and accountability, despite the emotional toll.
Diego Maradona’s cause of death was officially recorded as “acute pulmonary edema secondary to exacerbated chronic heart failure.”
However, his daughters have consistently contested this explanation, insisting that multiple reports point to negligence and mistreatment that led to his passing.
Diego Maradona’s legacy in the world of football is unparalleled. With 34 goals in 91 international games for Argentina, he secured victory in the 1986 World Cup and left an indelible mark on the sport.
His club career saw him play for renowned teams including Argentinos Juniors, Boca Juniors, Barcelona, Napoli, Sevilla, and Newell’s Old Boys.
