Ronaldo Has A Release Clause That Lets Him Return to England

The saying often goes, when you don’t quench the flames in time, it gets to an extent it becomes uncontrollable, and this saying very much goes for the situation between Manchester United and Cristiano Ronaldo, which has been exposed to the media in an explosive interview with Piers Morgan.

Ronaldo left no one at Manchester United safe, not the pundits nor the current or former managers at the club.

For Ralf Ragnick though, the German finds himself hit by the stray bullet as the player criticizes the former Manchester United boss’ potential as manager while at the club.

The 5 time golden ball winner even went on to confirm a lot of the speculations the media had on his transfer and return to Old Trafford, and his relationship with both Ralf Ragnick and Erik ten Hag.

On Rangnick the Portuguese condemned the German stating:

“If you’re not even a coach, how are you going to be the boss of Manchester United? I’d never even heard of him.”

On Ten Hag, Ronaldo reveals he has no respect for the Dutchman as he feels respect should be reciprocal between two parties:

“I don’t have respect for him because he doesn’t show respect for me. If you don’t have respect for me, I’m never gonna have respect for you.” He said.

Ronaldo also spoke about his decision to return to Old Trafford last summer and rejecting Manchester City.

He revealed it was down to the machinations of Sir Alex Ferguson and his respect for the former manager:

“I followed my heart. He (Sir Alex) said to me, ‘It’s impossible for you to come to Manchester City, and I said, ‘OK, Boss’.”

The alleged betrayal for Ronaldo came when he realized there was no progress at the club with everything seemingly sitting stagnant at the club.

“The progress was zero. Since Sir Alex left, I saw no evolution in the club. Nothing had changed.

“I think the fans should know the truth. I want the best for the club. This is why I come to Manchester United.

“But you have some things inside that don’t help (us) reach the top level as City, Liverpool and even now Arsenal . . . a club with this dimension should be top of the tree in my opinion and they are not, unfortunately.”

Ronaldo also went on to reveal that prior to the summer transfer window, the Old Trafford club tried on multiple occasions to force him out of the club, referring to Ralf Ragnick’s time as manager.

“Man United tried to force me out. Not only the manager, but also the other guys who are around the club. I felt betrayed. I feel that some people didn’t want me at Manchester United, not only this year but last season too.”
