Manchester United set to make statement with £40m Signing

Manchester United ready to make statement with their own signing of £40m.

The transfer window has been wild and wide with clubs operating and engaging in the normal business ahead of the coming season.

Manchester United aren’t ready to be one of the clubs to be left out of the conversation.

In reaction to rivals, Manchester City and Liverpool making their own mark in the window, United are set make theirs with Ajax winger, Antony, who according to reports is set to become the club’s first signing of the summer.

The Brazilian is reportedly worth £40 which would be announced soon.

According to reports from The Sun, the Red devils’ chiefs are currently in Holland to complete the signing of the 22-year-old.

The winger quickly established himself as a key part of Ajax under former manager, Erik ten Hag, after joining from Brazilian club Sao Paulo in 2020.

The Brazilian has scored 12 goals and provided 10 assists in his prior season, leading Ajax to the Eredivisie title.

Now the player is set to be reunited with Erik Ten Hag, who personally requested him as a top target for the North-western club this summer.

With United’s board hierarchy leading the charge in Netherlands, Anthony is now in line to become Ten Hag’s first major signing.

It is a signing the 20 times Premier League winners’ rivals have to watch out for next season, as he may likely become quite the unexpected threat that could improve the club’s season.
