Manchester United Reportedly sees Ronaldo Replacement in Kylian Mbappe
Kylian Mbappe is being “considered” by Manchester United as Cristiano Ronaldo’s replacement.
After the club ended his contract this week, the 37-year-old has left Old Trafford. This would somewhat appear as a like for like replacement considering both players are stars in their own right aside the age factor and the multiple years of experience within the game.
Since the summer, United has been connected to several strikers, but with Ronaldo’s departure, their hunt has become more urgent.
Ronaldo’s departure reduces the club’s pay expenditure significantly, enabling them to seek to European or elite football for a successor.
The UK Mirror reports that United is eager to sign Kylian Mbappe away from Paris Saint-Germain in January.
Kylian Mbappe will probably cost them more than “£150 million,” plus he will likely earn about £500,000 per week in salary, equivalent to Cristiano Ronaldo.
Mbappe’s arrival in January would be a tremendous coup for Erik ten Hag and may have a significant impact on the Premier League.
The Frenchman, who is only 23, has already won the World Cup and scored an amazing 221 goals in his club career.
The Paris Saint Germain star has been one that has seen himself consistently linked with the Premier League specifically with Liverpool, to see Manchester United nab the star in January will be a shock in football.
After all, the great Real Madrid failed in their attempts to land the player.
