Manchester United react to Klopp’s exit with a funny tweet
It was all about capitalizing on the timing to troll their arch rivals, isn’t it?
While the other side of the North West England divide are reeling over the announcement of Jurgen Klopp exiting Liverpool, the saying ‘One man’s poison is another man’s meal’ rings harder as Manchester United aims a subtle dig at its big time rival.
News came up earlier today that Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp will be stepping down from his role as the club’s manager after the end of the season, and Manchester United via its social media handle had the perfect subtle reaction to the report.
Releasing a post just minutes to the announcement of Klopp departing their rival club, the United’s official social media page posted a rather harmless message to its fans which many believe is in reaction to the Jurgen Klopp news.
Manchester United on its official handle wrote; “Good morning, Reds” underneath a picture of a green field in the rising sun, and its fans couldn’t be any happier with the timing.
“The choice of words for this caption is very intentional, and I’m here for it,” remarked one fan, while another noted the “perfect timing” alongside an image of Klopp. The rivalry between the two clubs adds an extra layer of significance to such interactions on social media.
Klopp, who has been at the helm of Liverpool since 2015, has led the team to seven major trophies, including their first-ever Premier League title and a sixth Champions League crown.
Widely regarded as one of the club’s best managers in history, Klopp’s departure will undoubtedly pose a significant challenge for his successor.
For Manchester United, Klopp has rather been a torn on their side, beating the Red Devils multiple times while making history with it.
Manchester United will be hoping to capitalize on Liverpool’s managerial change as they aim to close the gap between the two rivals.
However, the Red Devils have their own managerial uncertainties, with questions surrounding the future of Erik ten Hag amid the arrival of new owners at Old Trafford.
