Manchester United hierarchy still hold a 'grudge' with Ten Hag

Despite Manchester United setting manager, Erik ten Hag for a new contract extension at the club, it may not be happy waters between both camps.

Manchester United officials are reportedly displeased with manager Erik ten Hag after he disclosed details of a private meeting during his holiday in Ibiza. According to The Sun, senior figures at Old Trafford are furious that ten Hag revealed the specifics of their conversation, which had been intended to remain confidential.

The meeting in question took place while ten Hag was on vacation in Spain. During this encounter, United officials informed the Dutchman that he would continue in his managerial role despite recent speculation about his future at the club.

Speaking on Dutch television, ten Hag remarked, “Yes, but this week, they really threw a spanner in the works because then, out of nowhere, they suddenly showed up right on our doorstep. They wanted to continue with me.”

This revelation has not gone down well with the club’s hierarchy, who expected the details of the meeting to remain private. The incident has added to the tension surrounding ten Hag’s tenure as he strives to navigate Manchester United through a challenging season.
