Manchester United given pathway to sign Harry Kane

Manchester United has received a significant boost in their pursuit of Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane, as the player reportedly rejects a move to Bayern Munich. According to reports, Bayern coach Erik ten Hag is eager to sign a center forward during the upcoming transfer window, with Kane being his preferred choice. However, the English striker has expressed his desire to remain in the Premier League.

Manchester United is looking to strengthen their squad after securing a return to Champions League football with a third-place finish in the Premier League. The team struggled in front of goal last season, with Anthony Martial hampered by injuries and loanee Wout Weghorst failing to make a significant impact.

Despite Kane having only one year left on his contract with Tottenham, it remains uncertain whether chairman Daniel Levy would be willing to sell him to a Premier League rival. However, the recent withdrawal of Bayern Munich from the race to sign Kane has given Manchester United renewed hope.

According to reports from The Sun and Bild, Bayern Munich decided not to pursue a deal for Kane due to their significant transfer expenditure this season. The Bundesliga giants had reportedly hoped to secure the striker on a free transfer when his contract with Tottenham expires next year. However, Kane is said to be determined to join Manchester United, whether it happens this summer or in the following year.

Tottenham is reportedly reluctant to sell their record scorer to a Premier League competitor. However, if Levy wants to receive the rumored transfer fee of £100 million for Kane, he may have to consider allowing a move to Manchester United.

In the meantime, Manchester United’s football director, John Murtough, is exploring alternative options to Kane. The club has reportedly held discussions with Atalanta and Eintracht Frankfurt regarding Rasmus Hojlund and Randal Kolo Muani, respectively, according to reports from The Athletic.

The pursuit of Harry Kane by Manchester United has intensified, and with Bayern Munich no longer in contention, the English striker’s potential move to Old Trafford is looking increasingly likely. As negotiations continue, United’s fans eagerly await further developments in what could be a significant transfer for the club.
