Former Chelsea Man Gives Bias Opinion Of Champions League Draw

The Manchester United hierarchy has seemingly warned manager, Erik ten Hag against the idea of going after Chelsea star, Hakim Ziyech going into the full Premier League season.

The news which comes courtesy of a report by the Manchester Evening News states that the Manchester United hierarchy wants nothing to do the Moroccan at Old Trafford.

It is said that the former Ajax manager sees the 29 year old as a good prospect for the club and very much a good addition to the team.

Erik ten Hag happened to have coached the Moroccan star while both were in Ajax, with Hakim Ziyech even helping the team reach the UEFA Champions League Semi Final against Tottenham.

Man United’s hierarchy believe the Dutchman should have more realistic expectations considering he lost his very first game in charge at Old Trafford to Brighton on opening weekend.

The Dutchman had made moves to get the club’s chief to make Ziyech a priority but the board quickly made moves to block the transfer.

It is believed the decision was a split one that the board did not wish to indulge.

There is no secret that Chelsea want to move the player elsewhere this summer, with AC Milan one of the clubs he is most linked with.

There are also reports that extensive talks had been held with Chelsea but so far no report has been heard afterwards regarding the issue.

Hakim Ziyech saw a move to Stamford Bridge in a €40m (£33.3m) deal from Ajax in the summer of 2020, but has since struggled to secure a regular role in the team under Thomas Tuchel and started just 14 games in the Premier League last season.
