Manchester United dealt with a Luke Shaw injury blow
Manchester United have reportedly been dealt an injury blow as confirmed by manager, Erik ten Hag ahead of their coming premier league fixtures as he reports Luke Shaw will be out for a while.
Since his appointment as Manchester United manager, Luke Shaw has been the Erik ten Hag’s trusted official in the Man United defence, with the England international either featuring at Centre Back or Left-back for the Red Devils.
Luke Shaw’s injury layoff seems to be for an extended period on the sidelines as he is confirmed to have suffered a muscle injury.
The defender has featured in Erik ten Hag’s first XI since the beginning of the 2023/24 season, playing for 90 minutes in the first two fixtures.
According to the report by The Athletic, Luke Shaw looks sure to out for Saturday;s home game against Nottingham Forest and next week’s hostilities against Arsenal.
Manchester United, released a brief statement on Thursday, confirming the report;
“Manchester United defender Luke Shaw has sustained an injury which will rule him out of forthcoming games. The muscle issue is still being assessed,” the club said.
This leaves a chance for Manchester United cast-away, Harry Maguire if fit, as an option to be called upon.
Luke Shaw joins Rasmus Hojlund and Mason Mount on the sidelines for Manchester United as the season thickens.
