Manchester City vs. Chelsea: Confirmed Lineup

The FA Cup pits Manchester City and Chelsea together again for a third time this season to give the Semi-final some flare and entertainment.

With both sides already playing out 2 draws in their premier league meetings this season; the first a dramatic 4-4 draw at Stamford Bridge and the second a 1-1 draw at the Etihad, neither Chelsea nor Manchester City have been able to get one over the other.

This is in contrast to prior season that has seen the Cityzens come out dominant of the London Blues in every meeting they were faced with last season. Hence, this makes today’s clash a tricky one that has pride and glory on the edge for both sides.

Pep Guardiola cannot risk losing two back to back knockout games after facing elimination at the hands of Real Madrid, and Mauricio Pochettino of course will take confidence from their last two meetings and a cup final defeat earlier in the season to Liverpool as a boost to get this final over the line.

A lot to fight for ironically for both teams as it stands, even Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City side cannot guaranty themselves silverware in the current campaign considering the little gaps he tops the premier league table with at present time.
