Man United so bad Ronaldo needed a reason to laugh against Brighton

It’s probably gotten to a point where there is nothing Manchester United dishes out now, before the ending of the season that should come as a surprise to anyone.

And for a 5 time Ballon D’or winner, Ronaldo obviously sees the close end of the season as something to humor himself with, seeing as how bad his team are that they can’t convince its fans with something to pride on in the back end of the season.

It’s confirmed, Ronaldo could be forced into playing either the Europa League or the Europa Conference League for United next season considering any hopes of achieving a top 4 finish is denied after Saturday’s trashing to Brighton and Hove Albion. Well, that is if he still remains at the club next season.

The Portuguese star saw himself involved in Saturday’s fixture against Brighton and for the life out of him, the 5 time Ballon d’or winner couldn’t believe the performance his team put out in the 4-0 defeat to Brighton He couldn’t hide his bemusement as it was obvious he couldn’t do anything to avoid it. The star couldn’t even help himself even.

The Comedy show saw Moises Caicedo, Marc Cucurella, Pascal Gross and Leandro Trossard score four times with no response from the United team within the span of 60 minutes for the Seagulls, to ensure Ralf Rangnick’s side ended the season with nothing to smile about this season.

After Pascal Gross scored a 3rd to clinch his team a 3-0 lead, the United top scorer of the season was captured on camera unable to hide his bewilderment as camera angles pictured him grinning obviously in pain on how his team defended on the night. With the worse still to come, it only took three minutes for the seagulls to add a further dent to the night for United as Leandro Trossard shoved the ball over the line to put Brighton four goals ahead.

The fall to Brighton sees the red devils sitting sixth on the Premier League table and considering the teams below them still have a game or two in hand, it isn’t even certain if the club will qualify for the Europa League as West Ham could overtake them to clinch sixth place should they win their two remaining fixtures.

Should this happen, Ronaldo and his teammates may be looking at competing in the Europa Conference League next season. Just imagine a 5 time Ballon d’or winner journeying to far ends of Norway or Czech Republic to compete against teams never before heard of.

It is a case to find humorous and thankfully Ronaldo now sees the humor in front of him.
