Man United hosts Chelsea on 2019/20 EPL season opening day

Professional football club based in Old Trafford, Greater Manchester, England, that competes in the Premier League, the top flight of English football., Manchester United is set to begin her Premier League campaign at home to Chelsea after the fixtures for the 2019-2020 season were confirmed on Thursday.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is expected to begin his first full season in charge on August 11, with a clash against the Europa League winners, who may likely employ a new manager, after reports claim Maurizio Sarri may leave the club this summer.

Manchester City, reigning champions, will be hoping to defend their title and continue their impressive record away at West Ham United on August 10.

Liverpool, runners-up, will kick off the new campaign on August 9, at home against Norwich, newly promoted side, while Arsenal begin the new season against Newcastle.

The first Manchester derby of the season is expected in the first week of December at City, while United host the champions in the first week of March 2020.

The 380 Premier League fixtures for the 2019/20 season were released on June 13.
