Man City, Liverpool, proceed to Champions League semi-finals

Manchester City has put on a great performance to hold Atletico Madrid to a goalless draw in the 2nd leg of their Champions League quarter final.

The Premier League leaders were hosted fiercely in Wanda Metropolitano, but were resolute enough to hold Simeone’s boys to an aggregate 1-0 win.

Atletico defender, Felipe, recorded double yellow card, first for an arm that drew blood from Phil Foden’s head, and another still on the England international.

The season comes with smiles to Guardiola as his hope for a treble still lives with the Cityzens remaining favourites to win the Premier League, and in good position to claim the FA Cup and Champions League trophies in the ongoing season.

Liverpool on the other hand, are in a similar position as the league rivals, winning on aggregates (6-4) against Benfica on Wednesday night, April 13, in a six-goal thriller.
