Man City lines up deadly star as Kevin De Bruyne replacement

Manchester City may not have to be without Kevin De Bruyne for long, and if the rumors are true, then they may not even have to be without a ‘Kevin De Bruyne’ at all, even if the Belgian’s days comes to an end with the club.

Manchester City has reportedly set its sights on Jamal Musiala as the heir apparent to the iconic Kevin De Bruyne. De Bruyne, currently sidelined due to a hamstring injury, extended his contract with the club in 2021, ensuring his presence at the Etihad Stadium until 2025.

However, it seems that the reigning Premier League champions have a strategic plan in place for when the 32-year-old midfield maestro eventually decides to hang up his boots.

According to a tweet from @TheSecretScout_, Manchester City‘s transfer radar has honed in on Jamal Musiala as the ideal candidate to fill the formidable void that De Bruyne will leave behind.

Musiala’s football journey saw him traverse English youth academies with Southampton and Chelsea before making the pivotal move to Bayern Munich.

The 20-year-old wunderkind made his professional debut in June 2020 and swiftly ascended through the ranks to become a fixture in Bayern’s first team, accumulating an impressive 130 appearances and netting 31 goals.

His remarkable tally of 16 goals across all competitions in the previous season solidified his reputation as one of the brightest young talents in world football.

According to Transfermarkt, Jamal Musiala is currently valued at approximately £87 million, a figure that could easily surge should Manchester City decide to make an official approach.

Given the escalating nature of transfer fees in recent years, it is not beyond the realm of possibility that Manchester City might be willing to exceed the £100 million mark to secure Musiala’s services and bring the prodigious talent to the Premier League.
