Man celebrates his graduate mom for sponsoring his education as a trader

A young Nigerian man, Osaretin Michael, has celebrated his mother on social media for her efforts in ensuring a brighter future for him.

Michael said his 55 year old mother had co-sponsored his education while making sacrifices to take care of her children, despite earning so little.

Michael shared on LinkedIn that although his mum had graduated from the University of Benin, she couldn’t secure a job and had to become a market trader to make ends meet.

“This woman despite earning little from her trade, still co-sponsored me during my undergraduate days at the University of Benin and periodically sacrificed whatever means available to her just to make me have a brighter future”, he wrote.

“She has always been my example right from day one and the thought of her stooping low to become a ‘market trader’ despite her educational qualification and ridicule from her peers just to provide for her children, inspires me to work harder in life so that all her sacrifices won’t be in vain.”

The post sees many Nigerians celebrating Osaretin Michael and his mother while some prayed for them both.
