A young man has reportedly caused a scene in a hospital in Ondo, as he attacked health workers over an outrageous hospital bill.

A middle-aged man was said to have taken matters into his own hands in University of Medical Science Teaching Hospital, UNIMED, complex in Akure, over a high medical bill.

The yet-to-be-identified man slapped three health workers after nurses on duty gave him his aged mother’s bill.

According to Daily Post, he made such a move after the health workers were unable to explain why his mother’s bill was so high.

The matter allegedly escalated into a heated argument, prompting the man to hit the health officers.

Reacting to the assault of the workers, four security guards came to the scene and beat up the man in return.

The security guards were said to have dragged him out of the female ward and taken him to the Accident and Emergency ward.

However, he sustained some minor injuries on his right wrist, while his left eye was also swollen after the security guards descended on him in an open space in front of the A & E ward.
