The whereabouts of Mrs Ukamaka Ejezie, popularly known as ‘Mama Biafra’ has been unknown to Nnamdi Kanu, detained leader of the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

It was learned that Mrs Ejezie was arrested in Abuja on Wednesday when she and dozens of other separatists stormed the Federal High Court, Abuja, to show solidarity with Kanu, who is being tried by Nigerian authorities.

Some armed men who claimed to be from the office of the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) in Abuja, reportedly whisked her away.

reports say the arrested Biafra agitator’s daughter and son-in-law are serving in the US Army. However, this news medium cannot independently verify this claim yet.

IPOB’s legal team said they can’t locate her.

Relaying Kanu’s message demanding for Ejezie’s freedom, a lawyer to Kanu, Aloy Ejimakor wrote on his known Twitter handle on Thursday: “UPDATE: I just concluded a visitation with Onyendu #MNK. Consistent with his tradition, he asked after the wellbeing of all & the thousands that came to Court yesterday to show solidarity with him, including particularly Madam Ejezie. I dedicate this Tweet to her freedom. Now!”
