1. Get a simple hook

Johnny

Hooks don’t come any simpler than one with a catchphrase, especially one that is easy to remember. The catchphrase could be a common object, a name, a drink or just a street slang.

Hit songs that have used catchphrases include ‘Johnny’, ‘Kedike’, ‘Sho Le’, ‘Kukere’, ‘Shoki’, ‘Hennessy’ e.t.c.

Shoki

Dance has enabled Nigerian music to cut across borders because dance is a universal language understood by all.

7 Always freestyle

Freestyling is good when you are working on a track, most especially when you already have the beat at hand.

Freestyle helps your immediate ideas to flow. Your incessant freestyle and ideas can be put together and worked on.
