Kogi Local Govt Chairman slumps and dies
The Chairman of Lokoja Local Government Council, Hon. Muhammed Danasabe Muhammed, has passed away.
Muhammed reportedly collapsed at his residence on Thursday, November 9, and was rushed to Shifa Hospital in Lokoja, the state capital, where he was later confirmed dead around 4:30 am.
According to a family source, the late chairman had been actively participating in various political meetings in preparation for the upcoming governorship election scheduled for Saturday before the unfortunate incident occurred.
The Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lokoja, Talba Lakwaja, confirmed the chairman’s demise in a statement.
The statement also provided details about the burial arrangements, stating,
“The remains of the Lokoja Local Government Council Chairman, Hon. Mohammed Dasebe Mohammed, will be buried at Anguwan Kura burial ground 2 pm immediately after Jummat prayer. The body will depart his family house at cantonment to Lokoja Central Mosque by 1:30 pm.”
The late Hon. Muhammed Danasabe Muhammed, who had been actively engaged in political activities, is survived by his mother, wife, and children.
