Liverpool’s James Milner signs new Liverpool Contract

Earlier today, word was broken that Liverpool Vice Captain had agreed to sign a new contract extension with the club after it was decided he will take a significant pay cut.

It has been officially confirmed by the club on its website and social media handles that the former Manchester City player will add another year to his Anfield stay.

The move was engineered by the club’s manager, Jurgen Klopp who greatly values the player and his influence in the team and the squad.

The former Leeds United player will see to another season to his initial 7 year stay at Liverpool, to make a total of 8 seasons at the club; the most he has ever stayed in a club.

The 2022-23 season will mark a 21 year career span for the Yorkshire, who made his debut for Leeds United at the age of 16 in the Premier League.

Since then, he has gone to feature for numerous Premier League sides like Aston Villa, Newcastle United, Manchester City and Liverpool to name a few.
