Liverpool vs. Brighton and Hove Albion: Confirmed XI

There is no iota of doubt that Liverpool made their 3-2 win over Brighton and Hove Albion in mid-week, harder than it should have been after twice taking a 2-goal lead in the game.

With both sides set to duke heads again albeit in the Premier League, the Reds can either make things easier for themselves or once more harder if they fail to take their chances as they come or make errors that the Seagulls will be happier punishing.

In recent seasons, games between Liverpool and Brighton and Hove Albion have become something of a stress for the Reds with the Merseyside team failing on multiple occasion to see out a win against the Seagulls.

Of course, their recent run-ins have earned Liverpool a win or two along the lines, but since the 2019/20 Premier League winning season for the Reds, Liverpool have never gotten a double against today’s visitors.

With a win in mid-week over Brighton and Hove Albion in the Carabao Cup, Arne Slot’s Liverpool has a chance of correcting the lapses from earlier seasons if they can get maximum points once more tonight.

Maximum points closes the gap against the current league leaders, City and could possibly return Liverpool to top spot assuming Manchester City fail to beat AFC Bournemouth. But that is all dependent on the team performance by both sides.

Here goes the Confirmed XI of both teams;
