Liverpool to receive Injury boost ahead of Schedule
Liverpool so far since January have had a lot of luck on the result end as they’ve been able to grind out results even while not having that great of a game in matches. But the end to the season, particularly the month of May, have been somewhat divisive in a way as it has seen a few of its stars develop fitness issues, or loose form.
Although, that is said to be behind them as they stand a chance to receive an injury boost ahead of the final match of the Premier League season rather than the Champions League final that was been eyed.
It is being reported that Fabinho, though confirmed will be fit and firing for the Champions League final against Real Madrid next Saturday (28 May), that he could even be welcomed back early against Wolverhampton.
That is the view of medical expert Ben Dinnery, who runs the Premier Injuries site and has a background in medicine data analysis.
The, 28 year old Brazilian recently suffered a hamstring injury in Liverpool’s 2-1 win at Aston Villa last Tuesday (10 May), where he had to pull off in the first half.
Earlier in his pre match conference prior to the Southampton match, Jurgen Klopp revealed to journalists that the midfielder was “progressing really well”. And from a new report, former physiotherapist at the Merseyside club, Christopher Rohrbeckis is brought back to Anfield to aid in the recovery of the injured stars ahead of the final.
“By the time the Champions League final comes along, he will have been out two and a half weeks,” Dimney was quoted saying to Football Insider’s Adam Williams. “You can’t even rule out the chance of him featuring this weekend.”
Fabinho this season has featured in all 12 of Liverpool’s Champions League matches this term and has been key in Liverpool progressing into the final.
Along with 47 appearances in all competitions this season, Fabinho has registered 8 goals and one assist.
