Liverpool to let Salah leave rather than compromise wage structure

When it comes to business, Liverpool have shown they aren’t batting an eye for anyone, not even if it’s Mohamed Salah.

The Egyptian star has wanted a substantial pay rise to allow him sign up a new contract. It has become sort of the bone of contention for both parties.

And now, after completing the signings of Fabio Carvalho, Darwin Nunez and just recently, Calvin Ramsay, the club according to sources aren’t ready to make compromises anyone.

Liverpool believe they can give Mohamed Salah the very treatment given Sadio Mane, and let the Egyptian leave on a free.

Mane is set to seal his £35.1million move to Bayern Munich this week where he will reportedly earn £360,000-a-week according to some reports, whereas others allege it will only be a £150,000-a-week increase to his alleged £100,000 a week wages at Anfield.

Salah unlike Mane though, has committed to playing for the Reds next season, but with the reports, will have to look for a move elsewhere if he wants to be paid the numbers he is widely-thought to have requested.

The move shows the Reds are unwilling to break their strict wage structure – even to keep one of the best players in the world.

And this may not bode well for Salah whose preference is to stay at Anfield and in the Premier League but with a significant pay rise.

Judging from the outlook of things, Mohamed Salah may by Liverpool’s machinations be forced to consider a move to Liverpool’s direct rival in the Premier League after next season.

There’s tendency it might end up biting back at both parties in the eventual fall out, especially if Salah ends up going to Manchester City, who aside Manchester United, are the only Premier League club willing to pay Salah’s wage demands.
