Liverpool beat Villarreal comfortably at home
Liverpool have beaten Villarreal in the first leg of their semi-final match on Wednesday night, April 27.
Jurgen Klopp’s side converted a first half goalless draw into a 2-0 led, thanks to an own goal by Estupinan and a second from Sadio Mane.
They will now look to retain their win when they visit Spain for the 2nd leg on Tuesday, May 3.
The win at Anfield means the Reds have reached the Champions League final for the third time in five seasons.
They are also very much in anticipation of an unprecedented quadruple for the ongoing season with the Carabao Cup already secured.
