After Manchester City‘s midfield powerhouse Rodri was crowned the 2024 Ballon d’Or winner, football icon Lionel Messi took to social media to celebrate the night’s honorees, giving a special shout-out to his Argentine teammates.
Messi, who has a record eight Ballon d’Or titles, congratulated Rodri and all the nominees but poured praise on Emiliano “Dibu” Martinez, who clinched the Yashin Trophy as the world’s best goalkeeper, calling him “the best goalkeeper in the world.”
