Lionel Messi Not Done Yet

Widely trolled after a disastrous spell last season, and being left out in the top 10 of this year’s edition of the Ballon D’or, football great, Lionel Messi is very much raising the middle finger up to his critics this season with his performance on the pitch for Paris Saint Germain.

Lionel Messi, forward for Paris Saint-Germain, has continued to carve his name into the history books of both football and the UEFA Champions League, something his arch rivals would be keeping his eyes on over at the Europa League.

The encounter against Maccabi Haifa in the Champions League featured the Argentine, who was playing in his 50th game for the Parisian club.

With his goal in the Champions League game against Maccabi Haifa, Messi has edged his name in the record books again to become the first player in history to have scored and assisted on more than 10 goals this season in all competitions.

Messi has been outstanding for PSG this year in every competition. He has also been a wonderful teammate, setting up goals for other players.

His performances this season will very much continue to haunt the divide of the Argentine’s football rival who ironically is encountering a disastrous spell on his end compared to his performances last season that saw him become Manchester United’s top scorer.

With Lionel Messi putting up huge performances for Paris Saint Germain this season and this week in the Champions League, more eyes would be on his rival on Thursday’s edition of the Europa League.
