Cholera outbreak in Lagos State: 15 Dead, 350 suspected cases reported
Lagos State Commissioner for Health, Akin Abayomi, announced a severe cholera outbreak on Saturday, which has resulted in 15 deaths over the past few days.
Abayomi revealed that 350 suspected cholera cases have been reported, with 17 confirmed. Read more here.
FG withholds compensation on Lagos-Calabar highway project
The Federal Government has announced a temporary halt to compensation payments for property owners affected by the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway project from Kilometer Seven onward.

Former Brazil midfielder and legend, Ronaldinho has unleashed a scathing critique aimed at the Brazil national football team, expressing deep dissatisfaction with the squad’s current state and the administration of the Brazilian Football Federation.

Managing Director of Fouani Company and 3 Lebanese abducted in Lagos
Unknown gunmen have abducted the Managing Director of Fouani Company along with three Lebanese nationals while they were traveling by boat in Lagos State on Friday, June 14.
According to a report by Punch, the victims were taken around Falomo Bridge as they commuted from Apapa to Victoria Island. While the identities of the victims have not been officially confirmed, it has been disclosed that the abductors have demanded a ransom for their release. Read more here.

In an X-rated jab at the former Super Eagles player who today confirmed his resigned as national team coach, Napoli striker, Victor Osimhen responded strongly to comments made by Finidi George, regarding his commitment to the Nigerian national team.
Osimhen was absent from the Super Eagles’ recent 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Benin Republic due to an injury. Despite this, Finidi suggested that the 25-year-old striker could have managed to play in the crucial fixtures. Read more here.
