Intending Kwara pilgrims protest after aircraft malfunction delays Hajj journey
Over 200 intending pilgrims from Kwara State protested on Friday at Ilorin International Airport due to a delayed flight caused by an aircraft malfunction.
These pilgrims, along with officials from the State Pilgrims Welfare Board and the 2024 state Amirul Hajj, had boarded the aircraft on Thursday, only to face an indefinite delay. Read more here.

Lagos Rapid Response Squad arrests suspected vandal on Third mainland bridge
On Friday, the Lagos Rapid Response Squad (RRS) operatives apprehended an 18-year-old suspect, Mubarak Abdullahi, for allegedly vandalizing the newly renovated Third Mainland Bridge by removing LED road stud lights. The arrest occurred around 10 a.m.
In a statement shared on X.com, it was revealed that Abdullahi, a resident of Makoko, had already removed 10 LED lights when he was caught in the act by RRS operatives on patrol. Read more here.
