Hamas accuses Israel of ‘Complex War Crime’
Hamas has accused Israel of committing a “complex war crime” following a devastating attack on the Nuseirat refugee camp, which resulted in the release of four captives but allegedly caused the deaths of three others, including a US citizen. Israel has firmly denied these accusations.
The death toll from the raid on Saturday has risen to 274, with at least 64 children among the victims, according to Gaza’s Health Ministry. More than 700 Palestinians were reported injured in the attack. Read more here.
Social media sensation in coma after botched plastic surgery
Popular Yoruba actress and social media sensation, Ramota Adetu, widely known as Aunty Ramota, is reportedly in a coma following a failed Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) surgery.
According to a family source who contacted LIB, the surgery took place on Saturday, June 8. Aunty Ramota underwent the procedure to enhance her buttocks after a benefactor offered to sponsor the surgery. Bandits force Niger State farmers to flee after deadly attack
In a brutal assault, the Niger State bandit attack forced the residents of Bassa, a farming community in Niger State, to abandon their homes leaving 20 people dead.

States to implement new tariff structures, phase out electricity subsidies
State governments across Nigeria are set to implement new electricity tariff structures as part of a broader effort to phase out subsidies and create a more efficient and sustainable power market. This initiative follows the recent approval of the Electricity Act 2023.
