Lagos state to subsidize ticket fee and divert traffic for Olamide’s #OLIC4

The fourth edition of the Olamide Live in concert #OLIC4 is coming up on Sunday, December 17. And while you are preparing for the concert, the Lagos State Government is making its own preparations by diverting traffic.

The State Government announced that road diversions will begin as early as 6 AM for rapper Olamide‘s concert at the Teslim Balogun Stadium.

The Acting Commissioner of Tourism, Art and Culture, Adebimpe Akinsola, described the concert, as an avenue “to showcase the budding talent amongst the youth.”

The State Government seems quite vested in this concert because not only are they diverting traffic, but they are also subsidizing the ticket fee. According to Adebimpe Akinsola, this is to ensure Lagosians enjoy the concert. She said:

Olamide live in Lagos, the fourth of its kind is coming to the Mainland to ensure that every Lagosians enjoy fun-filled Yuletide.

The State government does not only see the entertainment industry as rich tourism content but is also using it as a platform of economic empowerment and a means to showcase the budding talent amongst the youth in the creative and entertainment sector.

The Lagos State Acting Commissioner of Police, Edgal Imohimi, represented by Abiodun Alamutu, added that the police would ensure maximum security at the event.

Officials with the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) have said service lanes will remain open to motorists.
