Lagos State Commissioner of Police says there is need to amplify security

Abiodun Alabi, the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, said that there is need for security to be amplified in the state, hence ordered that this action be carried out immediately.

The directive was given without excluding any area commander and Divisional Police Officer in the state.

Recalled that the chairman of the Lagos chapter of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, Musiliu Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo  has been suspended, over alleged misconduct, insubordination, and inciting members of the state chapter against the apex body.

CP Alabi, during an interview with Channels Television on Thursday, said a directive for the deployment of operatives to all motor parks across the country had been issued.

The Commissioner said the order was necessary to curb any violence that may arise in the state from the crisis rocking the NURTW.

Abiodun Alabi assured Lagos residents of adequate security of life and property after encouraging the area commanders and DPOs to maintain visibility in their area of coverage.
