Lagos resident alleges fraudulent activities against African Alliance Insurance

Lagos State resident, Fawunmi Mojeed, has accused African Alliance Insurance of refusing to release his N350,000 investment four months after its maturity. This is the first alleged African Alliance Insurance scam.

Mojeed informed FIJ that he began his monthly investment with African Alliance in March 2019, encouraged by a friend’s recommendation of the company’s plans.

According to Mojeed, the insurance company assured him he would receive a return on his investment when the cycle matured on March 1, 2024.

However, Mojeed was taken aback when African Alliance Insurance failed to fulfil its promise upon maturity of the investment.

“When I contacted African Alliance on March 1, the staff member asked me to forward my identity card. I provided my international passport, and that was the last I heard from them,” Mojeed told FIJ.

“I haven’t heard from them since. The agent assigned to me initially stopped taking my calls. I don’t know what else to do to retrieve my N350,000.

Despite submitting the requested identity card, I still haven’t received my money, and I need it more than ever.”

According to FIJ, the African Alliance ceased communication when contacted for comments regarding the issue after the reporter explained the situation. Subsequent emails to two addresses listed on the company’s website bounced back, leaving Mojeed’s complaint unresolved.

This situation raises serious concerns about the practices of African Alliance Insurance, and Mojeed continues to seek avenues to reclaim his investment.
