Gas Explosion

The fire that followed the spillage from a moving cooking gas truck in Lagos on Thursday came from the kitchen of a Chinese café, the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) has said.

The café is situated at the Ogun State Property Investment Corporation (OPIC) Plaza where different workplaces were similarly singed.

Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, the LASEMA Director-General, spread the word about this in Lagos on Saturday while perusing a primer report on its examination of the occurrence.

He added that LASEMA and different responders cleared different inhabitants of the structure to a protected spot. The LASG Fire Service guaranteed that the fire was quenched and abridged from spreading into close by structures.

He said likewise that the group and traffic signal were dealt with the assistance of the Police, LASTMA and FRSC.

According to the Lagos state commissioner for special duties,  “Lives were lost. We had about 13 people rescued but we understand that out of the 13 people, we’ve lost two of them which means that we’ve only rescued 11. We’ve recovered three bodies again this morning. They’ve started moving them away from here.”
