Kylie Jenner changes son’s name from Wolf
Celebrity and makeup mogul Kylie Jenner has recently made a legal change to the name of her 16-month-old son, announcing that he will now be officially known as Aire Webster.
The 25-year-old entrepreneur welcomed her second child with American rapper Travis Scott, 32, in February 2022, making him the younger sibling of their five-year-old daughter, Stormi Webster.
According to court documents obtained by E! News, the child’s original name, Wolf Jacques Webster, has now been legally changed to Aire. Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott had previously shared their decision to change their son’s name, stating that they felt it didn’t suit him.
In early January of this year, Kylie introduced her son to the world through social media, revealing his name as Aire. The name holds significance, as it means “Lion of God.” Kylie had previously explained the reasoning behind the name change, stating, “We didn’t really have a name, I just thought it was going to come to us when we saw him, and it didn’t.”
The time pressure to provide a name for the birth certificate played a role in their decision-making process. Kylie shared that 24 hours before they were required to sign the document, her sister Khloe suggested the name “Wolf.”
Appreciating the alliteration of “WW,” the couple ultimately settled on Wolf Webster. However, immediately after signing the birth certificate, Kylie expressed a moment of uncertainty, questioning her choice.
She admitted, “Right after I signed the birth certificate, I was like, ‘What did I just do?’ It’s a part of his story, but his name has changed.”
The name change has now been finalized through the legal process, reflecting Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott’s desire to provide their son with a name that better aligns with their perception of him.
As the news circulates, fans and followers of the couple await further updates on the family’s journey and celebrate the uniqueness of Aire Webster’s new name.
