Kylian Mbappé to miss immediate action due to Nose Fracture

French Captain, Kylian Mbappe suffers nose injury in Austria-France match in what seems a significant blow to the French national team.

The diagnosis was made after the team’s match against Austria on Monday in Düsseldorf, with the medical team confirming the former Paris Saint-Germain star had suffered a broken nose.

The incident occurred during the second half of the game, leading to immediate medical attention on the field.

The French Football Federation released a statement confirming the injury and providing details on Mbappé’s condition. “Kylian Mbappé returns to the base camp of the French national team,” the statement began, before elaborating on the nature of the injury. “Kylian Mbappé suffered a broken nose during the second part of the Austria-France held this Monday in Düsseldorf.”

Dr. Franck Le Gall, part of the French team’s medical staff, was quick to diagnose the fracture and has since been overseeing the player’s treatment.

“The captain of France was treated first by the medical staff and Dr. Franck Le Gall, who diagnosed him with a nose fracture,” the statement read.

Mbappé will receive ongoing treatment in the coming days, though surgery is not currently planned. Instead, a protective mask will be crafted for the forward, enabling him to return to training and competition following an initial recovery period.

“Mbappé will receive treatment in the next few days, but he will not undergo surgery in the immediate future. A mask will be made for him so that the number 10 of the French national team can prepare for his return to the competition after a period dedicated to treatment.”

The injury is a setback for Les Bleus as they navigate the international competition calendar.
