Kogi Police rearrests 3 of 6 Escaped Suspects on Dino Melaye’s Gun Case

The Kogi State Police Command has announced the rearrest of 3 of the 6 suspects who escaped police custody on Wednesday.

As TOPNAIJA.NG earlier reported, 6 suspects had escaped from the Kogi State Police Custody, including 2 who had named Dino Melaye and Mohammed Audu as their gun suppliers.

The police had quickly declared the suspects wanted, along with Melaye and Audu.

Melaye had also given the Inspector General of Police Ibrahim Idris 48 hours to find and rearrest the escaped suspects.

The commissioner of police, Ali Janga, who had been removed, confirmed the rearrest to Punch, although he failed to mention if the 2 suspects connected to Melaye were among those rearrested.

He said:

Yes, it is confirmed, but note that I am no longer the CP, I have been removed, so next time talk to the new CP.
