Kizz Daniel clears air on his arrest in Ivory Coast

Nigerian music sensation, Kizz Daniel, has responded to allegations of his arrest in Ivory Coast over claims of accepting payment but failing to deliver a performance as agreed.

In an official statement posted on his Instagram page, the artist clarified the circumstances surrounding the incident.

According to Kizz Daniel, his agent had entered into a contract that included a stipulation stating, “no money, no performance.”

Despite the excuse of a “bank transfer delay” and a promise to provide his performance fee upon his arrival in the country, he agreed to travel and fulfill his performance commitment.

He disclosed that he went ahead with the performance, even though he had not received his payment. However, the situation took a turn for the worse when his team was allegedly attacked backstage.

Importantly, Kizz Daniel emphasized that he was not arrested and has since departed the country.

“The agent signed my contract which states “no money no performance”

“I agreed to fly in regardless, after so many appeal and of cuz excuses on bank transfer delay with the promise of receiving the money upon arrival in Abidjan

“Till now no payment , not even the alleged amount mentioned

“I still chose to support CAF and went ahead to the venue to perform without payment, but unfortunately my 3 min performance slot was up.

“My team were assaulted back stage and i decided to take my leave

“I am not arrested by CAF OR DETAINED WHATSOEVER +I AM FINE AND HEADING TO LONDON FOR MY SHOW NOV 12, OVO ARENA, at WEMBLEY,” Kizz Daniel stated via his social media account.
